Greetings from Juyeong Park, the 13th president of Namwon Medical Center.

As a regional flagship public hospital for three provinces and seven cities and counties in the eastern mountainous region, Namwon Medical Center does the best to provide public health benefits for local residents.

The region where Namwon Medical Center is located is geographically and geographically surrounded by the nation's largest Jiri Mountains, which caused it to fall behind in economy as well as in the medical, traffic, educational, cultural, and industrial development.

According to the recent demographics, the average life expectancy of Koreans is 81.9 years (F: 85.1 yr.; M: 78.5 yr.), indicating that Korea has already entered a super-aged society with the steady extension of human life expectancy.

In particular, the population of the seven cities and counties under the scope of our services is 269,000, among which the population of the aged is 73,838. About 28% (nation: 12.2%) of the total population is economically vulnerable. As such, this region is an underdevelopment area with a high percentage of low income residents.

Today, elderly people living in rural areas suffer from many different diseases along with the aging process.

I am sure that Namwon Medical Center is the flagship hospital of the three provinces and 7 cities and counties (Namwon, Sunchang, Jangsu, Imsil, Gurye, Gokseong, and Hamyang) in the eastern mountainous region, and certainly the indispensable hospital for this region.

Therefore, the public health projects of Namwon Medical Center are inevitable and fateful.

In light of these significances, we will provide excellent medical services for all customers and patients with an harmonious operation of the medical center, continuous improvement and reinforcement of facilities and equipment, and securement of excellent health care manpower.
